I’m in a Mood

For whatever reason today, I woke up in an absolutely fantastic mood. It wasn’t because the dogs weren’t barking away in the back yard, or the girls were being less than their usual exuberant selves, or even that Husby wasn’t sneezing a thousand times in a row, each sneeze more wall shaking than the last one. All of that was happening. But, it’s a beautiful day and I’m glad in it.

I shared the following with my Facebook family today and I am going to share it here, too. You’ve likely seen and heard it before, but may it serve as a happy reminder.

“If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.

A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” -Roald Dahl

  1. Nice quote from Roald Dahl, mmm-hmmm.

    Hey! 😀

I just noticed you followed my blog, and I’m here to introduce myself! Looking at your banner there, I’m every one of the things you listed! (Except for Mom / Wife).

Pleased to meet you, Purdy Eyes!

(I can call you that, right?) 😛

  2. Hey!
I found you in the community pool. Haha, when I saw the title of your post I thought you were going to write about how upset you were about something. I’m glad it’s the opposite!
I like the layout of your blog and the way you write is very simple and easy to read.

  3. Hi MM! I found you in the community pool and love this post! This is a very smart looking blog, clean and crisp. I was a little unsure of how to comment, but got there in the end. Pleased to make your acquaintance! Mother Hen
